Cisco SmartStart Program

It is a significant advantage for our portfolio companies to participate in SmartStart, as they then can be assured that they have a reliable, secure and scalable network. Because more than 80% of all networks are powered by Cisco, there is also the benefit that should your company be acquired or acquire other companies, there is a greater likelihood of compatibility. All of Cisco's products are available under this program, including their IP telephony products and customer care products for call centers.

Here is an outline of the program:

Cisco Systems is pleased to offer to Artemis Ventures' portfolio companies special pricing on turnkey networking and e-commerce bundles. This assures your company of fault tolerant e-commerce solutions that keep the network running 24x7x365.

To qualify, your company must:

This program is available through Cisco's channel partners at a suggested discount of 40% for one purchase order only. This program is available in conjunction with co-location facilities.

The purchase must consist of an end to end Cisco solution including, at a minimum, a Router, Switch, Local Director and Pix Firewall covered by Cisco's Smartnet.

Consulting and design services are included, as well as branding opportunities using the Cisco logo. In the next few weeks, Cisco will introduce an exciting portal which will allow SmartStart participants to network with other startup companies.
